Lynda
Meeks Passed Away
(posted 24 Jan 2013)
It
is with deep regret that we have to announce the death
of Lynda Meeks. On the 2nd of January, Lynda was diagnosed
with lung cancer which had spread to her liver. She
was given six months to live, but that was not to
be, and she passed away on 22nd of January 2013.
Lynda
was a founder member of The Fivepenny Piece; sister
to frontman John with whom she shared the limelight.
Her distinctive voice was an integral part of sound
of the band. She also added a touch of glamour to
the band which can't have damaged their profile. She
will be sadly missed by fans across the world.
